Adventist work reaches Memphis
The historical account begins with Adventist mission work connected with the Morning Star and early evangelistic work in Memphis.
Memphis First SDA organized
The First Seventh-day Adventist Church of Memphis was organized after early evangelistic efforts and Bible study work.
Raleigh SDA Church organized
On January 20, 1951, 34 members transferred from Memphis First to organize Raleigh Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Worship begins at 4204 Jackson Ave
The church moved forward with the Jackson Avenue property and worshiped in the new building after a major building campaign.
Classroom additions
As the congregation grew, classroom wings and building improvements expanded ministry space.
